Dean Pollard is the Executive Leader for Bupa Global in the Middle East & Asia.

In his current role, he is responsible for Bupa Global’s strategic, commercial and governance oversight of reinsurance partnerships.

During his extensive career at Bupa spanning over three decades, Dean has held various roles, gaining international experience through several Executive and General Management assignments across the healthcare sector in Australia, UK, India and the UAE.

Previously, Dean was the General Manager of Strategic Transformation at Bupa UK where he was responsible for leading Bupa’s Brexit plan, establishing a new regulated licensed entity based in the Republic of Ireland. Prior to this, Dean also held senior leadership roles as Managing Director of Bupa International based in the UK, and Chief Operating Officer at Max Bupa based in India.

His core competencies span strategy, governance and risk management, commercial development and transformation and change management delivery. He also has strong implementation experience in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, start-ups and integrations/separations.

Dean currently serves as Chairman of the Board for Bupa Egypt Insurance, and Bupa Denmark Services as well as Chair & Director of the Board for Bupa Global Middle East (DIFC) Ltd. He is also on the Board for Bupa Singapore Holdings.
